Bright Meteor of 01st November 2012 at 18:35:37 GMT

The view from Ravensmoor of this magnitude -2.4 Sporadic also includes a slow moving satellite just to the left of the centre of the image. This was subsequently identified as Cosmos 1275 DEB #13017, debris from an on orbit collision.

Clicking on the image of the meteor itself will download / play a .wmv file of the event itself. Details of the date, time and location are shown in the text at the bottom of each video clip. In addition, we've also included images of the derived ground track and orbit.
